A long list of misspelt words. . .

Over the past few weeks Grade 3/4A have been compiling a list of commonly misspelt words.  Each week 3/4A has targeted spelling groups of 30 minutes. . . this list was compiled during our focus group's sessions (where one spelling group works with the teacher) and we came up with an amazing amount of homonyms that are commonly used or spelt wrong in our writing.

Have a look at our long list below. . .

If you are around for Open Night please feel free to come an look at our class' spelling work we will have on display ( a variety of spelling activities, work from our spelling journals and also a big book created by 3/4A during spelling sessions).

Harmony Day in 3/4A

Hello everyone!

Below is a special activity we did during Harmony Day.  With the help of a few fabulous iPads, we were able to listen to and view a set of 3D stories that "popped up" from the Harmony Day app.  Using augmented reality technology, we printed off some Harmony Day posters, and by placing the iPad over the top of the posters, was able to move around these stories in a 3D environment.  Everyone enjoyed listening to the different Harmony Day stories, and it promoted a great discussion about what makes Australia what it is today!

Welcome to 3/4A!

Hello everyone!  Grade 3/4A have got off to great start this year - working hard and enjoying our Bushrangers Unit.

Our Grade has already established a good culture of working hard, getting along and mutual respect.  During CALC (Creating A Learning Community sessions) earlier this year we created the movie below - we hope you enjoy watching it!
